Elior Evangelical University (EEU) is Haiti’s first free, mobile and digital university with founder Desir Christian Olivier Jonathan.

It was created on July 8, 2015 by Désir Cédric, a theologian and a computer scientist by profession he is also a Professor of Theological and Religious Sciences.

He understood the growing demand of a large fraction of the university-age population; he wanted to answer to the request and need  of people who divide their time between work and family and people who show a great interest in studying in order to perfect their knowledge professionally.

The desire to serve his country led the Founder Desir Cedric to devote everything,his assets and his investment in this noble initiative as a gift, but sadly he was cut short early by death, because from his earliest childhood he suffered from pernicious anemia, after which the

o Co-Founder of the University in this case Mr Desir Christian Olivier Jonathan  took over.

Christian Michael is a theologian,a manager and professor of literature and theology,he took over the reins of Elior Evangelical University in  September 2017 .

The EEU is a non-profit institution of higher education. She is by nature a university promoting free reflection of a better world built on knowledge,and she is universally  accessible to all.

It allows the mobility of its staff and students via electronic devices such as: smart phones, tablets,laptops and the likes.

EEU is a digital institute in the sense that it uses the latest educational information and communication technologies (ICTE).

Elior Evangelical University distinguishes itself from other Haitian universities by the nature of it’s flexibility of courses and its appropriate teaching methods suitable for young graduates, professionals and anyone wishing to get knowledge.

EEU offers distant (online) and Onsite learning which means that students whether online or onsite can simultaneously modify the learning system.

Her mission :

Elior Evangelical University is committed to instilling superior, solid, relevant,modern and scientific learning at a distance and on the spot using the latest technologies of Information and Communication to facilitate distance higher education.

It also uses the latest advances in higher education for training at the Campus.

The mission of the EEU is part of the constant respect for human dignity, the preservation of the human species, the respect of fundamental freedoms, the rights of minorities, human happiness, the propagation of scientific knowledge, the sustainability of freedom, protection of the planet and the progress of the ecosystem.

EEU agrees to use all technologies that do not harm the integrity and human dignity.

EEU is committed to imparting practical, flexible, objective and scientific knowledge,current information and communication technologies for education.

Distance learning can be supplemented by semi-face-to-face training (For courses requiring on-site practice in the laboratory) But, the wish of  EEU is to make accessible higher education for anyone interested in ICT.

EEU condemns incitement to violence, personality cult, racism, ethnocentrism,dictatorship, slavery in all its forms, social exclusion, stigma, impoverishment, illiteracy.

The Elior Evangelical University advocates human solidarity, truth, freedom, democracy, development, knowledge.

She wants to offer initial and continuous interdisciplinary training the disciplinary fields of the University cover all training sectors:

 arts, letters and languages

 law, economics and management

 humanities and social sciences

 technology and health.

The harmonization of the academic year between these four sectors facilitates the construction of the project by promoting a stronger multidisciplinary openness,International-scale research and an innovative science policy.

EEU is a member of the Inter-American League of Research Universities (LIARU), the University

Evangélique Elior is already recognized for its research at the international level.

Its ambition: to provide significant and recurring support for activities that are growing power, innovative projects and emerging teams,dissemination of culture and scientific information on the basis of training and research.

Elior Evangelical University is backed by an international policy that favors Europe and the French-speaking world while maintaining long-standing cooperation with Japan and the United States, among others, Elior Evangelical University also intends to increase incoming and outgoing mobility, in particular through specific measures for welcoming foreign students (including different levels of support in French language) and specific measures to prepare Haitian students for mobility,outgoing Student success and professional integration.

The University has set itself a double educational priority: success in the License and DUT, and the professional integration of students.

It has implemented support measures to undergraduate and DUT students (pilot actions in secondary school, help with the use of the Digital Work Environment (ENT), support from expert tutors online, etc.) Its objective is to promote student and  teachers mobility and to facilitate training throughout life long.

Finally, it intends to be a university that is highly participatory in the life of society and not closed in on itself.

Her Goals ‏

Elior Evangelical University intends to contribute to the ever-increasing demand for graduates who are looking for initial training.

It also meets the needs of professionals or those who have not had the opportunity to complete or begin a higher or professional study because of improvised family responsibilities and work.

It wants to be the faithful partner of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) who dream of becoming big, Because the mobility it offers allows entrepreneurs and investors to continue to train more in the era of labor market innovation, Large companies, large public and private organizations can rely on the EEU to provide continuous, adapted and quality training to their employees or civil servants.

Convinced that economic and social development largely depends on political leaders, the EEU integrates into its curricula training programs capable of supporting local elected officials, parliamentarians, leaders of political organizations, potential future candidates.

Elior Evangelical University includes in its academic agenda the pursuit of the eight Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).

To achieve these objectives, administrative staff, researchers, teachers and students of the EEU propose, among other things, to:

• Advocate the accessibility of modern and quality knowledge to all;

• Advocate respect and promotion of human rights;

• Supporting and supervising entrepreneurs and investors;

• Promote the integration of technologies in the educational field;

• Combat exclusion and stigma in all its forms;

• Condemn violence in all its forms;

• Encourage free-thinking;

BIOGRAPHY OF DESIR CHRISTIAN OLIVIER JONATHAN ,FOUNDER ELIOR EVANGELICAL UNIVERSITY

Desir Michael Christian Olivier Jonathan gave himself to JESUS in 2003 following an apparition of JESUS CHRIST and in 2005 he received his Call to the Ministry.

He became the Youth Pastor of Life in Christ Church located in Delmas 18, Haiti in 2007.

In 2009 Dr Desir Christian Olivier Jonathan founded the community Anointing in Action – Center for Evangelism, Formation and Mission based on the values ​​of Love, Holiness, Saving Power of JESUS CHRIST which has more than 10 extensions in the world.

Desir Christian Olivier Jonathan is  passionate about new technologies that he has been using wisely for several years to teach, preach and evangelize beyond the borders of the Republic of Haiti.

He is also the founder of Dr Desir Ministries (DM), L&A Academy (L&A), Dr Desir Gabina Euchera Foundation and Elior Evangelical University.

He is a pastor,songwriter, director of theatrical plays with the theater and film troupe (Desir Film Agency)

Desir Christian Olivier Jonathan  is also the author and editor of several books: “The Supernatural of God”, “Strategies for Effective Counseling”, “72 Laws of the Wealth of God”, and several textbooks in Theology and related sciences.
