Bishop Lewis was a devoted wife to the late Anthony Lewis and mother of three, proud grandmother of
seventeen, and a great grandmother of 5. A native of her hometown Salem, NJ.
She has been preaching for 43 years and has provided pastoral care for over 36 years, the founder of the Outreach Center of Faith Mission, since 1983 a minstry that provides comprehensive services to the homeless and other at-risk individuals and families in
She is an anointed Woman of God, whom GOD uses to bring deliverance, healing, and inspiration to His people everywhere. She has travelled throughout the U.S., South America, Cuba and Africa and recently went to the Phippines
preaching, teaching, singing and using the gifts that God has given her to help bring healing to the lives of the people .
She was also the Presiding Elder of the Fourth Ecclesiastical Province of the Sound of Praise Fellowship Ministries, Inc. and served as their National Foreign Missionary Director. Formerly, a member of the Board of Directors of Partners of Joint Ministries, Inc.
Bishop Joyce now serves as a member of Women of the Cloth–as well as, the City of Salem Ministerial
Board and DC Ministries.and has conducted many Street Services in the City of Salem, Salem County, Cumberland County and the
Tri State areas in NJ, DE, PA and overseas.
Bishop serves on several boards & committees for the County of Salem. She served on the Advisory Board for Salem Vocational
Tech. she was a member of Visiting Clergy for The Memoral Hospital of Salem and she was the Salem City Wefare Director for over 3 years. Assistant Manager of ARC of Salem
County Group Home. Assistant Director of SCOPE of Salem County, and CRS of Youth Consultation Services. Administer &
overseer of the Summer Food Program for the City of Salem. Presently,working part time with St John Pentecostal Outreach Church as Assistant Administrator and helps out with the Food Giveaway Program.
In 1999, Bishop Lewis was one of the first recipents of the Martin Luther King Community Award for the recognition of her services to the community in the Spirit of the legacy of Dr. King. She also was the recipient of the Seventh Day Adventist Community Service Award in recognition of her community services and contrbutions to the people in the City of Salem.
She was one of the first Volunteer Juvenile Probation Officer for Salem County and in 2014 Bishop administer and operated the
Transitional Housing Program for Homeless and those at risk for the County of Salem which is still operatng today . Her vision is to expand the program in the Tri-County and Tri-State area.
Bishop Lewis has an outstoundng testimony of how God’s miracle workng power restored her marriage. After fourteen
years of separaton and six years of divorce–God put her marriage back together again!
Her husband has recently transition in June, 2019.
